birth story of the week: a home birth vlog
This is such an endearing video! I don't think I've ever watched a vlog-style birth story before, and I just love the immediacy and emotion of it. The proud papa is such a great cheerleader/documentarian of the birth. Meanwhile, I admire the calm centeredness of mama as she matter-of-factly goes about birthing a ten-pound baby! Sweet.

Awww, one of the best birth stories ever! So sweet and awesome! Thanks for sharing Leigh (and birth family!) Welcome baby Collin!
ReplyDeleteThis Is what the birthing process should be- beautiful, intimate and spiritual. Thank u to this beautiful family for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL!!! Thanks for sharing, Leigh! XOXO
ReplyDeleteso sweet & beautiful, thanks for sharing! baby is so handsome.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful family and well done Mama - she hardly looked like she broke into a sweat!
ReplyDeleteMaybe this is personal, but I would not have been able to handle him narrating and saying "can I say I love you?"... I'd have been all "can I say I'm in LABOUR"!! I found dad a little bit too self-focused, but everyone's different when it comes to birthing preferences :)
ReplyDeletewhat a sweet sweet video.
ReplyDeletemy labor was too intense to have a camera in my face (or to do any of the things i had planned to do like candles and music and meditation). but STILL: his love for her and their excitement together and the fun she shared w the doula was very precious to watch.
Oh my goodness, this is beautiful. I started following your blog 2 years ago because of a birth story you posted and I have since found my true calling as an aspiring doula :) Thank you for holding this internet space, it is truly inspirational. xo
