Hazel will be twelve weeks old on Sunday, can you believe it?
These photos, taken a few days before she was born,
capture a moment that already feels like millennia ago.
That little guy in my arms?
He was the baby then, but no more.
Big brotherhood matured him overnight.
*sigh*
And this dude?
He turns five on Monday.
Unreal.
Don't even get me started on how much this tiny lady has changed.
A package arrived in the mail this week.
It contained hundreds of photos taken by Liz,
capturing the days and weeks leading up to Hazel's birth.
I love them and I look forward to weaving them together with words
and sharing the story.
Coming soon to a blog post near you ;)
Meanwhile, I hope you have a fabulous weekend,
shared with someone you love.
Hold on tight to the moments! They go by so fast.
XOXO,
Leigh

oy ... i hear ya. it's fun to remind myself that time is actually a tapestry, and it is our consciousness that forces a specific chronology upon us.
ReplyDeleteSAVOR! ;) Give those babies a big hug from mamaw!!
ReplyDeletewow, I know the feeling. My oldest was 16 months when her brother was born. She went from true baby to big bossy toddler and older sister extraordinaire over night.
ReplyDeleteReading this on the bus & crying!!! Hard to believe it all, the wondrous changing of these 3 precious beauties
ReplyDeleteLeigh,
ReplyDeleteI'm sitting here watching the Bill Withers documentary and all of a sudden your husband is on the screen!!! How wonderful, and what an incredible event he is hosting for these kids. Anyway, just wanted to say that I love your blog and your children are beautiful and yes, my baby turned six months yesterday and time FLIES.
Gorgeous photos. Every one.

as much fun as it is to see them grow, it's also a little sad to lose the baby moments. but i'm always thankful for beautiful photographs to remember the moments that fly by! these are gorgeous.

ReplyDeleteLeigh, I love your blog so very much and it has been such a privilege to see your little ones grow and change. Thanks for the continual optimism and encouragement when it comes to being a mama. Because of it, and the other encouraging mother's stories you have shared on here, I am planning my first homebirth next month!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Jamie
