links for your week

Vintage ad via Mother's Meeting

I missed the boat on getting a weekend link list up, so here's one for the start of your week instead:

So amped that I snagged these clog sandals on sale yesterday.

I can't stop watching these awesomely mezmorizing and educational music videos by Symphony of Science (also, I totally have a nerd crush on Neil deGrasse Tyson).

A crocheted playground!!!

Loving Melissa's method for achieving curls, sans heat.

Did you know Paul McCartney's mother was a Midwife?  I'll never listen to Let It Be the same way again.

The best way to fly Coach: Skycouch.

So thought-provoking: How to Read a Racist Book to Your Kids.

International Breastfeeding Symbol, Toddler Edition.  Made me laugh.

I think I can make this adorable bubble romper, even with my very basic sewing skills!

Such a pretty skirt and heels!

I hope your week is off to a lovely start.  XOXO.

  1. Great links but I truly love the article about reading racist books. We have a lot of older books and movies and the older my son gets, the harder it feels to explain. And sometimes I think I am over-thinking it. With him, I have found that some honesty (at a developmentally appropriate level of course) helps with a lot of things. Not just racism but sexism, why people hit their kids, guns and...guns. (sigh). Thanks for sharing this article.
    Best,

  4. Thanks for the link, Leigh! That playground is a total dream come true, huh? :) Oh, and I think you should TOTALLY make that bubble romper - it's so incredibly cute!

  5. Thanks for the links! I also like the article, though I have to say that the heat-free curls are my favourite of the bunch! Just bought a new frock to wear in a few weeks (at 7 months pg) for a wedding, and then at 36 weeks for a big shebang for mum's 60th - I really feel like hair needs to be good when the rest of me is so... inflated!!
