One week ago today was my birthday, and it was so fun to celebrate in our new home. Abbey and Joanna and their families surprised me by coming over, and it was so fun to feel the house filled with the sounds of kiddos frolicking and friends laughing, while our husbands played frisbee in the yard! It was a taste of wonderful gatherings to come, and such an encouragement on the week we moved, knowing that even though we don't live in NYC anymore we're still not so very far away from those we love there. Abbey brought me this beautiful orange amaryllis. Isn't it spectacular?
Its gorgeous!! I think I'll have to find one to brighten up my kitchen this winter :)
