It's been SOOOO long since I posted anything but personal photos and ramblings! Meanwhile, I have about a gajillion tabs up on my laptop, reminders of interesting reads and links. Time to share:
Research shows that babies' cells may linger in the bodies of their mothers for decades, perhaps even providing protection from disease.
I love these geometric-print bags.
The Great Necklace Exchange looks like fun!
This blog is oddly fascinating, if a tiny bit sad -- I found myself clicking back through the archives, amazed by the celebrity pairings I never knew about.
A treehouse grows in Brooklyn. Awesomesauce.
Great idea for removing this word from my vocabulary.
Abbey's "Just Because" gift guide is so seriously rockin'.

That "old love" is SO addictive! And love Abbey's list, too.
ReplyDelete"when an adult took a standardized test..." was awesome. my husband is currently pursuing a PhD in psych. this year one of his classes is all about testing and i've been his guinea pig as he practices executing and interpreting the tests. let me tell you- THEY MAKE ME FURIOUS! all i can think of when i am taking the tests is how much i DO NOT want to subject my children to these ridiculous "norms". intelligence comes in so many different forms. but these tests, which are created to determine you future, only test one kind of intelligence. you only do well if you think exactly like the developers. no points for creativity, thinking outside of the box, even if the answer you give is arguably correct!
ReplyDeleteanyway, thank you for linking that article. i'm sending it along to my husband. and his entire cohort!
Great links ~ thanks!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad no one ever gave me a nursing cover. I hate them. My son is 26 months and still asks to nurse in public, so I do. I could care less what anyone in NYC thinks.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to us! Time to get whelmed isn't it? :)
