I haven't dyed my hair in years, and I actually really dig the idea of not fighting the grey, but I have to say that the ombre hair trend has really captured my attention. I especially love these brunette-fading to blonde versions, and I feel like it would offer a laid-back, easy-to-maintain (or grow out/cut), approach to color. Not to mention I think it looks so sexy and chic. What do you think? Would you consider rocking ombre or dip-dyed hair?

you look beautiful as is. xoxo
ReplyDeleteRocking it right now! It took a few days to get use to having some blonde in my hair but now I'm so in love with it. I say try it but have it more warm blonde rather than a dramatic bleach blonde.
ReplyDeletei think you are GORGEOUS just the way you are & should keep your beautiful brunette with lovely whisps of grey.
ReplyDeleteI would do it! And have been debating coloring...hmmmm....
ReplyDeleteThis is lovely, but so is your hair as is. You're lucky to have a choice! Without dye, I look rather unfortunate.
ReplyDeleteI'm on the fence when it comes to this trend. On some girls, it just looks like they need to get their roots done. But you can pull off any look, really. Give us a before-and-after post, if you go for it! xo.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit that I'm totally rocking the ombre hair and getting lots of compliments! ...but it's really a result of not wanting to pay to get my hair colored anymore. Lol.
ReplyDeleteThis is what happens to me when I wait too long to get my hair re-highlighted. Just might have to try to rock it for a while and see what people think.
ReplyDeleteI would consider this since it is (almost) what my hair looks like most of the time anyhow... it would look better to do this version, rather than the I-need-to-have-my-roots-done version. Btw, I never would have guessed you have any gray. Undetectable in the photos of yourself you've shown!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the ombre look and, if I had the skin tone and coloring, I'd totally do it!
ReplyDeleteI had ombre all summer and just went back to dark this weekend. The lighter pieces that were blonde are still lighter than the rest of my hair, but it's not the same. It'll take me a few days to get used to the dark hair again. It's still close to 90 degrees here in TX, so it feels like summer.
ReplyDeleteI love the look, but here's the problem I see: the brown at the top isn't natural on all those ladies. It is hiding grays for some of them and will have to be maintained just like a regular dye job. When I start seeing hombre's with part gray on top, I'll consider it. For now, this busy mama who does not have time for dye is gonna keep rockin the gray brown blend nature gave me.
ReplyDeletej-lu, that is a really good point. i don't think i would consider this look at all if i knew i would have to dye the already (mostly) dark brown part of my hair to conceal grays. I'm still trying to figure out if i have few enough grays to pull it off ;)
ReplyDeleteit is a great way to have coloured hair. i really like the brown fading to blonde. i have always wanted blonde hair (in my dreams i have almost white blonde hair!) but sadly blonde makes my skin look green! so this might be a way to do it. nice idea! x
ReplyDeleteI just did a post about this! Apparently, I'm rocking this look by accident. ha.
ReplyDeleteI feel like it looks nice in magazines but would be hard to pull off in real life. I was contemplating cutting off all my hair until I saw these photos now and i'm not sure I can part with my locks, annoying as they can be!
ReplyDeleteGo for it Ms. L...it's only a lil' hair color after all and you'll probably rock it hard ;)
