I hadn't worn my baby in a couple of months, but when I found you, I'm once again inspired! I love seeing the pictures because it encourages me that I can still wear her even though she's almost 1 now. However, my current wrap is a thick moby wrap. It was great when she was a tiny infant but I think it's too much now. I need something smaller and cooler for the hot and long summers here in Texas!

I'm absolutely loving this stylethon! I used to wear my son all the time when he was a tiny little guy, but have fallen out of the habit now that he's 1 (other than "wearing him down" when he just won't nap. I tell you, nothing gets him to slepp like snuggling up in one of my ring slings!) These fabulous ladies are inspiring me to start back up again! It was so wonderful that my husband started wearing her in it too - until he lost it & we haven't been able to replace it yet. I would love to win a new sling! I have even nursed my baby while walking down the street in it & you would never have known! They are so ergonomic & fantastic looking! These women all look fabulous in their slings!

What a great blog. I stumbled upon it by accident and I am in love. My DD 23 was the first of many children I have worn in my years as a daycare mom and Nanny. She is now expecting her first baby. My daughter in law is expecting too. As a HUGE fan of baby wearing I would love to win them one of these beautiful slings (or maybe Grammy will just use it herself).

ReplyDeleteI am the proud Mama of two little boys who I love, love, loved to carry around in slings when they were much younger (they're 7 and 4 now and admittedly it'd be a lot trickier to carry them in one now!) I also have a 2-year-old niece that I am raising that I still carry around in a sling when she lets me. I enjoy the closeness it allows us, and I love the sweetness of her nearness.
My sister-in-law is expecting another child in the next two weeks and I've just recently converted her (YAY!) to understanding how awesome the sling can be. I'd really love, love, love a chance to win one of these for her so that she can enjoy some sling-and-Momma time with her newest little girl.

Now a highly active toddler I am unsure about investing in a sling and I am sad to think that when baby two comes along I will have this wonderful experience with him/her that I wish I could have had with my daughter, as thanks to these posts, namely Aura, I am totally won over on baby wearing. ReplyDeleteI have long lusted after the Sakura Bloom slings! Ever since my older son was a baby (3 years ago), and certainly now, as my second son is due in a few weeks. I believe fully in the benefits of baby wearing, and the material of these slings is drool worthy! The linen will totally keep me & babe cool in the TX summer heat, too, which is a consideration when you're smooshed against each other & circulating body heat! What a lucky baby he would be.

I wear my baby everyday and it's a natural extension of the womb. I know this period will be short-lived so I'm making the most of it while he still enjoys being worn. Slings definitely make this easier.

I've been in awe of Sakura Bloom slings after using my friend's with her baby at a soccer game. I never caught the hang of slings with my firstborn, but would love to use this with our baby due in December.

ReplyDeleteAs a woman who is discovering that sometimes wanting to be pregnant, and actually becoming pregnant don't always travel hand in hand, these posts are bittersweet, to say the least.
ReplyDeleteYou have gathered a collection of extremely inspiring mammas, who are definitely helping to fill this period of "waiting" with dreams of who and how I want to be to my own future little one.
So thank you to all of the immensely lovely mammas, and the time and energy they are devoting to this project, and here is to hoping that one day I too can proudly wear my own little babe!

ReplyDeleteBut I just wanted to say that my 14 month old is a great new walker, but she is still so little that I'd love to still be able to wear her in crowds, or just around town. She's outgrown her tiny baby slings, and money is a little tight to plop down $125+ for an ergo (or one that would carry a 20 pound toddler). I loved seeing Little Bee wearing her big girl in the Sakura Bloom! I'm totally inspired to see that I could get another year out of a new (larger/roomier) sling!

Very inspiring styleathon. a reminder to mom's like me that style is still important, even with babywearing, breastfeeding, spills, stains, mud from the park, etc. My toddler is getting big (ok, very big) but I still carry him and I wonder if we could do one of these. They are just beautiful.
