I love seeing these. It's makes me feel better when I get weird looks for breastfeeding my gigantic 18 month old in public. It's art! in the middle of a city practically dedicated to art, (Rome) you'd think people would be more accepting.
Nicole, it is whack how un-accepting people can be :( Good for you for NIP despite the weird looks! I nursed my almost 4-year-old in an indoor shopping center the other day. You're not alone :)
Hi, and welcome. My name is Leigh. After over ten years of living in NYC, I recently moved to the 'burbs with my amazing husband, Taro, and our three beautiful children. Once upon a time, I was a sculptor. I am a lifelong unschooler. I am passionate about issues related to pregnancy, birth, and motherhood, as well as art, design, fashion, travel, books, music, and food. I hope you enjoy my eclectic mix of topics. Feel free to join in the conversation! I love comments and emails.

I have long loved Mary Cassatt. Her images of women and children are amazing and they've inspired my art as well. Lovely, lovely.
ReplyDeletethis is beautiful.
