Y'know what I just realized? I reached my three-year blogaversary on November 8! I totally forgot to mark the milestone that day, but I just couldn't let it go without mention.
When I posted my first post here, I never could have imagined what this blog would come to mean to me. It has been a source of great fun, a way of making wonderful friends, an incredible learning experience, and an amazing creative outlet. I am so appreciative of everyone who has contributed here, as readers, commenters, guest posters, and sponsors. For me, this space has come to feel much more like a community than a diary, and more of a party than just a journal of reflections. Thank you so much for being a part of it!

oh! Happy Blogaversary sweet imaginary internet friend! I have loved your blog so very much since discovering it almost 3 years ago (wow!), especially since our oldest boys are so close in age. You have been an amazing resource, inspiration and all around great read!
ReplyDeletehappy three years leigh! i'm embarrassed to say that i've never commented but have been an avid reader all this time. i can't remember exactly how i found your blog back then, but i do know that reading your words has always made me feel a sense of community. i've yet to meet a like-minded mama in my neck of the woods, and often field stares and questions about my pouch babies. sometimes it makes me feel really out of place, but then i read you blog and feel normal! ha! anyway, thank you for the years of inspiration, and perspective. :)

ReplyDeleteFor me, your blog has been like another grandchild since its inception! The very first thing I check when I get up in the morning, the last thing I do before going to sleep, and usually many check-ins during the day to see if anything is new.
Your blog is much more than an inspiration to me, though it certainly is that too. It is a way to feel connected from a distance, and I really cannot - & would not want to - imagine life without it.
So I hope you never get tired or bored or too busy to write, post photos, or keep us informed on important topics such as home birth & unschooling. I also love your fashion & design posts.
Most especially, please keep talking about those marvelous kiddos of yours, posting pictures of them, and telling us stories.
You are a wonderful writer & creative storyteller, so I would have to say those are my favorite posts of all. I look forward to re-reading every one of your favorites, as I eagerly anticipate every new post from this day forward!!

happy blogaversary my dear!! you know how grateful i am for this website! your positive spirit helped me get through a dark phase and this same energy is just so inspiring and convincing every day! Love this list you posted b/c i've discovered a bunch I had never read (exciting!) I really related to that Mama Milestone story when you posted it... jut so, so sweet and touching.

ReplyDeleteHappy Blogaversary! I don't know where I'd be w/o the inspiration of your blog, but I don't want to know! Thank you for it all! And to me, the most memorable posts were the Puerto Rican PSA on breastfeeding and the Sesame Street clip of a woman talking to Big Bird about breastfeeding. That's about where I started reading.

ReplyDeleteYour blog helps me stay connected to my oldest child even across the miles. I feel like you're right there, close enough to touch if I reached out to you. I meet you in the morning as soon as I wake up, touch base throughout the day and check one more time (well, actually many more times) before I go to bed at night.
I'm proud of you in every way and so grateful that you can reach out and touch, so eloquently, other young mothers.
