I have to admit I have a growing longing to own an iPhone -- for no other reason than the amazing photos it takes. I've been aware of aps like Camera Bag and Hipstamatic for a while now, but it wasn't until today that I heard the term "iPhoneography" for the first time. Now that I'm hip to the fact that iPhone photos constitute an entire genre of artmaking with possibilities as glorious as the ones created by Stephanie C. Roberts, I am seriously lusting to get my hands on one of them.
*Sigh*... from my mouth to The Birthday Fairy's ears!

Right on! Snaps to that. I am determined to wait until my current cell contract expires - January 2011 can't come fast enough! According to a recent NYTimes article, waiting for things makes them that much better, so for now that keeps me going :)
ReplyDeleteThese pictures are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteMight wait til Apple lets Verizon in. Not a big AT&T fan. Also version 4 seems to have major glitches.
Maybe they'll be all worked out by November!

I do love my iphone. Also, no matter what kind of phone you have, if you have a camera on it, there's a really nice flickr group I'm in called "life inspired."

I really like my iPhone....and I highly recommend it. :) It has a ton of apps...LITERALLY and facetime! :)))
ReplyDeleteI love this guy's iphoneography. It's absolutely beautiful: http://jeremyedwards.tumblr.com/
ReplyDeleteI've been feeling the call often lately, too. I'd settle for an ipad--if the birthday fairy is all ears.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures! :)))
ReplyDeleteI was such an anti iPhone person (mainly because I generally do not like to touch screens) but I succumbed to the temptation a few months back and now I could not live without it. I love all the photo apps you mention. Here are some pics of Paris I took with Hipstamatic app: http://smallesthings.blogspot.com/2010/07/mon-quartier.html. And have you heard of the photo booth app app? Remember what Oscar Wild said "I can resist anything except temptation". Are you tempted? ;)
ReplyDeleteI have been loving the hipstamatic! I've been posting lots of photos from it on my blog recently. Now I'm off to check out the other apps mentioned here...
