I wanted to share two birth videos with you today. I think they are both so memorable and inspiring because of how calm, relaxed, and joyful the mothers are.
The first one is incredible. I love the deep, clear tub which enables us to see the baby swish out so gracefully!
The second one is fantastic too. The mother's euphoria is so palpable and beautiful. Thanks to Georgia for letting me know about it!
Wow, that first one is amazing. Why don't we have clear tubs here? The one I used at the hospital was a jet tub, but I almost murdered the nurse who accidentally hit it in between my contractions (haha)! My midwife would have been less worried had i been laboring in this and she could see better!
Oh well, one more thing to add to my chain of birthing centers that i will start when I'm rich! ;D
wow! These ARE amazing! I never though this is possible! It's really beautiful and touching. I am going to have a baby this September, these videos make me think~ Really thank you for sharing.
So so beautiful!! Yet, at the same time, it frustrates me that some of us have to fight so hard in the US to experience something as wonderful as natural waterbirth. Thank you so much for sharing these wonderful stories!
wow. these are just so beautiful. i just loved the second one. at the time, i didn't care to even glance at my children's births with a hand-mirror, but now i'm second-guessing that choice! i love that she was really able to gauge her progress and seeing the process obviously helped encourage her. the birth videos are my favorite part of your blog!!! i'm not sure if i will have more children, but becoming a reader has motivated me to change a few things in my birth plan if we go for round three!
Oh my god....I love the second one! She is so happy and calm! Her eyes totally light up when she sees her baby and her laugh/crying/screaming that continues after the shot ends just did me in! I start tearing with joy every time I watch it! Thanks for this.....this is my absolute favorite!!
A Thought: I'm curious how many moms out there had this kind of peaceful/quiet birth experience. I was LOUD toward the end (and in pain) - but it was all worth it. Completely, Totally, 100% worth it.

ReplyDeleteBirth is so beautiful and unique.
That clear tub is amazing, and I loved the water dance she has with her baby. LOVE that.
If you could bottle up the joyful spirit of the last one - and everyone took a sip...the world would be a better place.
Thanks for posting!!
