I am in love with this ad raising awareness and funds for the Mother's Day Breast Cancer Research Appeal, an annual campaign of the Breast Cancer Institute of Australia. How wonderful that this poster uses breastfeeding to gain support for cancer research -- and rightly so, as breastfeeding decreases the risk of breast cancer.
Thank you so much to Joanna for sharing this with me!

love this ad campaign!
ReplyDeletebreastfed all four children. still had the breast cancer twice. not sure the research there is legit.
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT!!!
ReplyDeletePerfect. Absolutely love it.
ReplyDelete@jle - Just because some people breastfeed and still get cancer doesn't mean the research isn't legit. That's like saying "I never smoked (suntanned, etc.), but I still got lung (skin, etc) cancer." It lowers your risk, but there are a whole host of other factors.
ReplyDeleteOn a more positive note, LOVE the ad! We need more images like this out there so that it becomes normalized in society.
I LOVE this but - LOL - that latch looks like it hurts
ReplyDeleteAll I can think of is: OUCH! That kid isn't latched! I had one who would look up and out any time someone walked by and take me with her...ouch.
