Today marks the two-year anniversary of Taro's dad's passing. To remember Bobby and celebrate his life we are wearing his favorite pins, listening to jazz music, writing poems, watching
The Red Balloon, dancing, talking about
the Brooklyn Dodgers, singing, and playing.

ReplyDeleteWhat amazing work! And so awesome that your husband continues that legacy. My husband's father passed away 8 1/2 years ago when Hubby was only 24. We have little rituals too...it's lovely to remember the ways someone impacted someone.

my favorite part is that you are writing poems...putting that creative energy into the celebration is probably causing pure cosmic love to find your father-in-law's spirit. a beautiful way to honor him, i'm inspired. death should always bring such lovely and thoughtful celebrations.
