I just wrapped all my gifts with doilies and red and white thick butcher's twine. It looks great, and you can use up any kind of plain paper around the house. You can get a pack of 60 doilies for about $12 on amazon and they come in all shapes and sizes. I found the square ones more useful because the diamonds are easier to fold around the corners than the big circles.
beautiful and simple. We started wrapping in brown butchers or brown packing (recycled)paper last Christmas with a simple red yarn bow. But I love the doilies on this present. I will have to add it this year!!
I've been obsessed with the packing paper/doily/ribbon wrap idea ever since I saw this post. The idea also allows for use of lace and stuff, but I love how it can be easily tweaked to be an all seasons sort of thing :O)
Really pretty, i need to find myself a heart shaped paper cutter, hmmm. Thought you may be interested in something i read online today http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1235921/Midwives-meltdown-A-NHS-worker-reveals-understaffed-maternity-wards-sinking-chaos.html
