A World of Laundry

I saw this fantastic image on Black Eiffel last week and I can't get it out of my head! Let's just say the idea of a world of laundry really struck a chord with me, as I have two hampers full and overflowing at the moment. Hopefully I can put a dent in the pile of dirty clothes before the holiday. Wish me luck!

What are your tactics for staying on top of the laundry when it just won't stop piling up?

  1. Move?

Failing that, breathe and go Zen. This laundry, too, will pass..

  2. Ahh, the laundry! It truly never ends, well unless I become a nudist but that isn't going to happen! For me I put all my husband's and daughter's stuff away but leave all my clothes in the baskets to dig through for clothes each morning. I always start each week with the best intentions though.

  3. Honestly, No idea. I ask myself this question every single week. (We don't have a dryer, so everything goes on the line or the rack, even in winter). But I get it done somehow, and definitely more regularly since I've started doing it ALL on one day.

  4. Laundry isn't that hard to keep up on. I have a big hamper in the bathroom. When it is full, I know I have about 2 full loads of laundry to wash. I have 4 baskets in the laundry room. I bring the hamper in there and sort the loads whites/blacks and jeans /light colors and delicates/towels. When one of the baskets is full of whatever type of load, I wash it. I hang dry ALL of my laundry (gave up my dryer 2 years ago) and once I hang it up I wait 24 hours. I then fold and put everything away. Evenings before bed is always the perfect time to fold and put laundry away because that is usually when we sit down and watch some TV. The laundry seldom if ever piles up in my house. I only do full loads of laundry at my house. There are 2 things in my house I NEVER allow to pile up. That is laundry and dishes. Other things if you get behind it is a little easier to catch up.
