I'm so glad you featured this. I have been meaning to make my way into the city to photograph the newly unveiled, completely refurbished playscape. It's amazing for me to think that I played on this very set as a kid and my kiddos have climbed those very structures and love the awfully slick and speedy slides.
I only discovered a few years ago, by reading a well-worn sign while my boys ran around the park, that the playscape was designed by none other than Noguchi himself. What a fabulous surprise. I always knew it was something special, but didn't realize the wonderful history behind the design.
This is amazing. My husband and I are always lamenting that playgrounds are no fun anymore. They all look exactly alike and are completely uninspirational.
