  1. love this pictures! I am so out of the loop... and don't think I'm crazy stupid!? I did now know you could breast feed all the way through your pregnancy! And what will you do when baby comes? Breast feed both? Just wondering how all that works and you see pretty darn open and the type of person who wouldn't be offended to be asked such a strange question!

  2. OH, and the funny thing about me not having a clue about all this... I milk cows:-D lol... not that maybe that's the same at all..? But, they milk right up until about a month before they're due, and that's because you "dry them up." some would just keep on milking.. it's hard on their body's though, so we chose to give them that break and to vaccinate. ANYWAY! lol.. I know more about cows milk and reproduction then my own. I don't have kids yet, so can that be my excuse??

  5. Tessa,

Thanks for bringing up the topic of breastfeeding during pregnancy/tandem nursing. Your questions are not stupid!

Indeed, it is possible to continue nursing throughout pregnancy and there is no evidence that doing so has any adverse effects on the unborn baby. Likewise, nursing a toddler and newborn at the same time (tandem nursing) is not an unusual arrangement, and can be beneficial to both children.

Here's a link with a ton more information about this: http://www.llli.org/FAQ/bfpregnant.html

Everyone does what works best for them, and for me and the Kiddo our nursing relationship has continued quite blissfully through this pregnancy. I look forward to nursing both children soon, and expect that sharing that bond will prove to be a positive foundation for their sibling relationship.

  6. oh my mercy. So lovely!
The shot of T and the Kiddo is perfect. Just beautiful.
And I am delighted to see that we're not the only ones who let our baby run around as naked as he wants all summer long! :D

  7. LOL, Meg. The diaper and shoes were a compromise! He would've much preferred to be in his birthday suit. Forget about the shirt and pants I was angling for him to wear!

  17. Such lovely photos! I adore that they look so natural, not 'catalogue-ish' at all. Kiddo running around in a diaper, the three of you making faces, it's all just grand. And the breastfeeding photo is beautiful.

  18. you're looking so 'beautiful, bountiful, blissful'. I'm sure you've read the book of the same name, if not, check it out. That first photo of you breatfeeding your little one is divine. You all look so happy and considering I'm still nursing my almost ywo-year-old I'm finding your whole story so inspiring. x

  27. These are wonderful, I love the deep colors. And you're so rad for nursing your toddler while pregnant!! It appears we'll be doing the same thing as neither Sam nor I are ready to give it up and we're thinking about having another! I imagine it probably helps ease the transition from only child to sibling, the tandem nursing, don't you think? Anyway, thanks for sharing your lovely photos; they're wonderful.
