The Belly, Week 38

Well, here it is, folks. Ready to pop. Practically fully cooked.
And I am so ready!
I am due on August 30th, but I feel like the baby will come sooner. I went to 41.5 weeks with the Kiddo and I never felt this done.
I know the previous posts about my sewing adventures have left the impression that we are expecting a girl, because I made a little dress...but actually we don't know the gender. I just felt like making a dress ;)
Which perhaps is telling of some kind of subconscious hunch on my part that it will be a girl...
Still, whenever I mention that I think it might be a girl, Taro points out that I have a 50/50 chance of being right, LOL.
So, we'll see!
I do know that I am carrying very differently this time around than I did with the Kiddo.
And for what it's worth, every passing stranger who decides to weigh in immediately predicts a girl...
Either way,
I can't wait to find out!
XOXO, Leigh

  1. Looking good! Which might mean it's a boy since they say girls drain the beauty out of their mothers. But I never believed that. Either way, so excited for you!

  4. Hello Gorgeous!

You amaze me with your bright smile and fashion elan at 38 weeks.

My wardrobe that last month consisted of two t-shirts, a pair of jeans, and some stretchy pants.

You rock 8 ways from Sunday!

  5. You look so lovely, Leigh. Even fully cooked, or should I say especially.
I have to say that I've been feeling feminine energy the whole time, but have waffled a bit in recent weeks.
50/50 I guess. Can't wait to meet our new nephew/niece and see all of you.
    All our love, always.

  20. The fact that you are wearing heels is AMAZING! What a fashionable mama-to-be :-) I saw your first picture even before I read the post and thought, it's a girl just by the shape of your belly. I had the same experience with everyone (and I mean everyone) saying it was a girl and she was. Have a beautiful birth!

  37. OMG you are one hot mama! I can't believe how freakin' amazing you look! If I had to pick, I'd say it's a boy. I know it's an old wives' tale that you can tell a woman's carrying a boy by the way she carries, but you are all baby, lady! Beautiful:)
