Taro's stepmother, Kelly, just sent me a link to a lengthier version she discovered (over four minutes long) and it really feels more like a beautiful little documentary film than a TV-ready commercial. It also contains a list of credits at the end, which is nice to see since I was so impressed with the production (I love the music, don't you?). As I was watching the long version on Youtube, I saw a link to the original short version with English subtitles. Here it is:
And here's the "uncut" version (if any of my readers speak Spanish, I would love to read an English translation of this one!):

I LOOOOVE THIS COMMERCIAL!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, how beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing! I love being able to know what they said.
ReplyDeleteWow what a commercial!
ReplyDeleteMy cousin has had 2 home water births and really raves about the experience. I was so interested I just rented "The Business of Being Born" by Cara Mahlhahn, very interesting stuff.
I'm a few years away from these kinds of decisions, but I understand it a lot more now.
an incredible commercial. it is all done so tasteful. the music, the mom, the sweet little family, the making of the bed. just beautiful.
ReplyDeletethank you so much for sharing.
So wonderful to see this again ... and in its longer version. I absolutely LOVE this commercial, and am in awe of the culture that allows this to play on tv. do we know if it really did play on tv? i'd love to know more about that & the public's reaction to it. I could watch it a million times - seeing something new & precious each time. I love how natural the big brother is, how much he takes it all in stride ... the combination of natural, as in this is just how it's done, and magic, at the wonder & miracle of new life, is absolute perfection!
