The algebra of IKEA. After a few days of emphatic closet-purging, thrift-store donating, and cleaning, it's time to fill in the holes of our home-organization with a trip to the Brooklyn store.
Items on the list:
Bookshelf for the living room
2 lamps
Home office organizing stuff
Laundry hamper
Frames
Baskets
Drawer organizers
Pantry organizers
Wish us luck! I promise to return to regular posts soon with details of our trip and fun before/after photos...

We tried to hit the Ikea this morning too! There was a line of epic proportions before it opened, and it scared us so we went to the antique stores around here instead! Although I want to encourage folks to buy my kid cute Ikea toys now.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your adventure! Can't wait for the pictures!
Beware the Ikea Argument Leigh....those one-way arrows don't tend to work well with female(peck-and-hunt)and male (get-in-conquer-get-out)styles of shopping... hope your relationship withstands the pressure!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to living vicariously through your decorating pics. I'm just trying to get to the washing-up these days.
xx
just wanted to say hi and i miss you and love you! i havent talked to you in foreverrrr, it makes me sad.
ReplyDeleteAaaaah - I'm doing a little more shelving myself!
ReplyDeleteAnd heading to Ikea to look for a folding wooden table. :)
we're planning a trip to ikea at the moment. it's ridiculous how excited i get about it. good luck!
ReplyDeleteOh Leigh! I went to the one here in Dallas on Monday and it was INSANE. You would have thought they were giving away Picassos or something. The line wrapped around the building for that $39.99 dresser (looks like dorm furniture imho)-luckily I was able to skip it! I did find some lovely little white orb planters though. Hope your trip was a success!
ReplyDeleteOh how I wish we had an IKEA near by or anything other than Walmart actually. Haha. :)
