New Musuem UPDATE

Alas, the Kiddo and I have hit a kink in our plans to attend the grand opening of the New Museum today! It seems that the free tickets were all snatched up online a few days ago, leaving us woefully empty-handed. I am all the more disappointed by this unfortunate turn of events, in light of the fact that the hotly anticipated museum opening was preceded by rave reviews of the new building and exhibits in yesterday's New York Times (the building was described as being the sort that "renews your faith in New York as a place where culture is lived, not just bought and sold").
